Connecting Car Communities
About Heat!
“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalms 34:18
Heat! isn’t just an app; it’s a piece of my heart. My name is Kameron J. (IG: @kxm.mxk), and I created this app through what I truly believe was God’s will in my life. It wasn’t easy—far from it. But through every doubt, every setback, and every moment I felt like giving up, God kept putting Psalms 34:18 in front of me. It reminded me that even when I felt crushed, He was near.
From Columbia to Houston
I grew up in Columbia, SC, a small city with a small car scene. It was simple and tight-knit—you pretty much knew everyone who was into cars. Events were few, and resources were even fewer, but there was a sense of community.
Moving to Houston was like stepping into a completely different universe. The car scene here is massive. There are countless events, businesses, and people who share this passion, but honestly, it felt overwhelming at first. The size and energy were exciting, but at the same time, it was hard to know where to even start. It felt like the scene was so big that it was easy to get lost in it all.
That’s where the idea for Heat! came from. I wanted to create something that could make the car scene feel more connected, like it did back in Columbia—but on a larger scale. I wanted to help people navigate this overwhelming world, discover what’s out there, and find their place in it.
A Journey of Faith and Perseverance
The road to building this app wasn’t smooth. It’s been over a year of late nights, frustration, and plenty of moments where I seriously thought about walking away. There were times when I felt like I didn’t have what it takes, when fear and doubt crept in and made me question why I even started. But God kept showing up.
Scriptures like Psalms 34:18 reminded me that He’s close, especially when I felt like I couldn’t go on. Verses like Galatians 6:9—“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up”—helped me push through when giving up felt easier.
Every time I wanted to quit, I thought about the purpose behind this app: to encourage connections, to foster community, and to reflect the discipline and hard work that honors God.
Why Heat! Matters
Heat! is about more than cars. It’s about creating something that brings people together, no matter where they’re from. It’s for the people who feel like the car scene is too big to figure out, or for the ones who’ve been here for years and want to share their passion with others. It’s about connecting with your local car culture, finding events, supporting businesses, and meeting people who share the same love for this world that you do.
But most of all, it’s about honoring God. This app exists because He put it on my heart, and I want every piece of it to reflect Him—not just in what it does, but in how it was built: with faith, persistence, and love.
If Heat! can help even one person find their place, whether in Houston or another city, then every late night and every moment of doubt was worth it.
